Christian Heritage School
The last Take a Look Tour for parents of prospective K-12 students is on Tuesday, May 14, at 9 a.m. Overflow parking is available in the commuter lot adjacent to the campus.
Admissions testing will be held on Saturday, May 18. Check-in time is at 8:30 and testing begins at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is required, 203-261-6230, ext. 555.
The Spring concerts are scheduled for Thursday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m. (High School) and Tuesday, May 14 at 8:15 a.m. (Lower School) and 7:30 p.m. (Middle School).
The Spring Picnic and Drive-In Movie Night will be held on Friday, May 17 (rain date, May 31). Dinner at 6p.m. and movie at 7:45.
The Upper School Prayer Group meets every Tuesday morning right after drop-off from 7:45-8:45 a.m., in the conference room.

Daniels Farm School
The DFS Variety Show is Friday, May 17. Practice schedule changes: Friday, May 10, all acts practice at DFS. Wednesday, May 15, dress rehearsal at THS. Attendance is mandatory at all rehearsals. Tickets are $4 each and are on sale now. Contact Danielle Forma for more information.
The DFS Father’s Club is hosting its 1st Kids Fun Run on Sunday, May 19, at 11 a.m., on the Old Field Road trail. Prizes will be given for highest participation by class; $5 per person; walking/running with a family maximum of $20. Sign up by May 15.
Fourth grade Author’s Night is on Thursday, May 30. The PTA is looking for third grade parents to help set up and clean up that night. Contact Leslie Davis for more information.
The PTA is looking for volunteers to assist the kindergartners during lunch hours, to help in the Media Center and the Variety Show. Visit the DFS website and click on the iVolunteers link to sign up and help.

The PTA Plant Sale will be today, May 9, for students, and Friday, May 10 for all.
The district wide Cultural Diversity meeting will be tonight, May 9, at 7 p.m. at Frenchtown.
The Father’s Club movie night will be Friday, May 10. Details have been sent home.
Family Week will be held throughout the week of May 13. Our theme this year is “Celebrate a Decade of Learning.” Different grade levels and teachers have activities planned throughout the week; details will be sent home with your child. Also, watch for our PTA raffle during Family Week.
The grade 2 and 5 Chorus Concert will be Tuesday, May 14 at 7 p.m.
The Spring Book Fair will be Tuesday, May 14-Thursday, May 16 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. It will also be open from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, the night of the concert for families. Children who have completed their F.R.E.E. Reading Calendar requirements will receive a PTA gift certificate for a free book.
The Family “Paper Bag” Picnic will be Wednesday, May 15. Refer to your invitation that was sent home since some of the lunch shifts had to change slightly to accommodate all students.
Sensitivity Day is Thursday, May 16 for grade 4. Other grade levels will have a read aloud.
The in-house concert for students is Friday, May 17 at 2 p.m.
The annual Mother’s Day plant sale will be held on Friday, May 10, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Students may purchase throughout the day. Parents are asked to wait until after 3 p.m. to make their purchases. Prices: 10” hanging baskets, $13; full flats, $13; 6-packs, $2.50; 4” geraniums, $3.50.
The Variety Show “Rock of Ages” will be held at the Trumbull High School auditorium this Friday, May 10 at 7 p.m. Tickets will not be sold in advance; they will be sold when doors open at 6 p.m.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held on Wednesday, May 16, and Thursday, May 17, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Parents welcome.
Tashua families are invited to see the students’ artistic creations on display at the Tashua Art Show on Wednesday evening, May 16, from 7- 8:30 p.m.
The Country Fair is coming to town on Saturday, May 18, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Food, games, inflatables, prizes, auction and much more; fun for the whole family. Open to the public.

Sacred Heart Academy recently learned that Kathryn Mortati, class of 2014, earned national recognition and received a bronze medal for excellent performance on the 2013 National Spanish Examinations.
