Scholarships available for high school and college students
Students who reside or attend school in Stratford, Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Milford, Monroe, Shelton, Trumbull or Westport may apply for financial support for post-high school education.
The Fairfield County Community Foundation’s Greater Bridgeport Area (GBA) Scholarship Program offers multiple awards from the general GBA Scholarship Fund in addition to more than 30 separate scholarship funds within the program, giving students the opportunity to apply for up to four different scholarships.
To be eligible to apply, students must be a current high school senior from one of these towns, or an undergraduate or graduate college student currently attending an accredited college, university or a specialized or advanced vocational training program.
There are two deadlines for these scholarship programs: For current high school seniors, the deadline is Monday, March 31; for current college or vocational students, the deadline is Wednesday, April 30.
Last year, the Foundation and its donors awarded more than 300 scholarships totaling more than $740,000 to students throughout Fairfield County.
