The Trumbull BEI is made up of education, community, and town government groups and members. The organization hosts numerous educational programs each year, and is one of the area’s largest providers of grants to Trumbull students. In order to provide these grants, however, the BEI relies on contributions from area businesses, foundations and individuals.

On July 8, the BEI received an extremely generous contribution. AT&T donated $7,500 for student grants in a small ceremony. Rep. Dave Rutigliano (R-123) attended the ceremony with Dan Neumann, executive director of BEI; Vincent Fini, president of BEI; and Kelly Bettucci, AT&T's director of external and legislative affairs.

“On behalf of Trumbull residents, I’d like to thank, AT&T for their generosity,” said Rep. Rutigliano. "These funds will help deserving students further their education, and will help BEI continue to do good work in our town."

“Rep. Rutigliano, having been aware of AT&T’s commitment to improving the educational outcomes of high school aged students across the nation, brought the Trumbull BEI to our attention,” said Bettuchi.

Bettuchi said AT&T then invited BEI to apply for a foundation grant which was approved. She said AT&T is proud to support organizations that are focused on helping Connecticut’s youth.

“This is all for our kids. Every little bit helps,” said Rep. Rutigliano.

The mission of the Trumbull BEI is to help students understand the requirements of the work world and acquire an appreciation of these demands throughout their careers.
