New Early University Program at Christian Heritage School
Christian Heritage School, located in Trumbull, is now offering an Early University program beginning in the 2015-2016 academic year. Early University provides motivated high school students with an academic pathway that delivers two years of college credits. Students in this program take only college courses during their last two years of high school. This allows students to fulfill their high school graduation requirements while concurrently earning 60 college credits.
The courses are taught by CHS faculties who have been approved as adjunct professors at the partnering universities, which include University of Connecticut and Syracuse University.
According to a recent Harris poll, one in five American employers are seeking job applicants who hold a master’s degree for positions previously held by employees with a four-year degree. This means that current high school students will be facing six years of higher education at a time when student loans have surpassed $1 trillion.
By participating in the Early University program, students can save up to two years of college tuition and two years of time — allowing them to start their careers sooner.
