The public can meet a wolf named Atka during an event at Shelton’s St. Joseph School on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m.

The program will feature an hour-long presentation followed by an opportunity to meet Atka.

Free tickets now are available at the St. Joseph School office, 430 Coram Ave., and at the Plumb Memorial Library children’s department.

The event, presented by the Plumb Memorial Library and St. Joseph School, is open to children of all ages and adults.

Event sponsors are Friends of the Shelton Libraries and the Wolf Conservation Center, a New York state-based nonprofit environmental education organization.

Event organizers said donations will be accepted by those who participate in the Shelton event, payable to “SJS HSA — Atka.”
