The Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band will begin their door-to-door fund-raising campaign between Saturday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Sept. 8.

The marching band has been chosen to perform at several Presidential inaugural parades, Disney parades, the Rose Bowl, the Fiesta Bowl and more. This nationally acclaimed band, boasting about 140 high school students, needs to raise money each year so they can compete and successfully represent Trumbull. They are the only organization in town that is authorized to raise funds door-to-door.

This week long campaign is their biggest fund-raiser of the year. Each team of students will be accompanied by a parent. The parents have registered their vehicles with the police and the children will be leaving envelopes by the door if you’re not home to answer.

All donations are tax deductible and the band members will provide the forms if residents request them. Donors who contribute $25 or more will receive a free ticket to the band’s Fall Classic event, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 28, at Trumbull High School. Those donating $50 or more will receive two free tickets.

Donations of any size will be welcome.
