Kerianne Shinnick’s first grade class raised the most money during the school’s recent Pennies for Wolves drive, raising money for Beardsley Zoo’s wolves, in honor of school’s mascot. The school raised a total of $2,310 and the class raised $739. Bethany Baldwin, President of the zoo keeper chapter at the Beardsley Zoo, and Kim Van Wormer, Vice President of the chapter and wolf keeper, accepted the check last week, giving the class zoo passes and a painting done by one of the zoo’s wolves.
