Spaghetti dinner and free concert
How about some red hot jazz on a cold winter's night? That's the venue at Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St. (Route 111), as the January serving of their spaghetti dinner and concert series on Saturday, Jan. 16.
The free concert at 7 p.m., features the Blue River Jazz Band with Chris Coulter. They will feature some of the hottest jazz from the early 20th Century.
The restaurant quality spaghetti supper begins at 5:30 p.m., with spaghetti, bread, salad, beverages and dessert, $12 for adults and $11 for seniors. Meatballs are extra.

George's Hill is a social engagement group for people diagnosed with early dementia and their caregivers. The next meeting is on Thursday, Jan, 14 at Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road. The group will meet the second Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. A light lunch will be served from noon-12:30.

We offer a fun and comfortable way for people living in the early stage of dementia and their caregivers to get out, get active and get connected with one another. The activities are shaped by Pastor Todd and promote social interaction and companionship. Art, music, games and exercise can enrich the lives of people with dementia because it allows for self-expression and engagement. Our Motto Is: You are not alone!
Women's fellowship soup and dessert luncheon
On Thursday, Jan. 21, at noon, there will be a soup and dessert luncheon hosted by the Women's Fellowship of Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road, Trumbull. The cost is $5 for soup and dessert. Program features an afternoon of cards, and games. RSVP with the church at 203-374-8822.
New Kids Club
Children in grades k-6 are invited to enroll in a new Wednesday-night Kids Club at Long Hill Baptist Church, 100 Middlebrook Ave., (near Middlebook Elementary School), from 7-8:30 p.m. Each meeting will feature games, singing and a Bible study. There is no cost to attend.
Parents are invited to join an adult Bible Study, which also meets on Wednesday evenings at 7.
