Preschool summer camp

Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., is accepting applications for the 2014 summer program. Designed for children 2 1/2-5 years old, the program runs from June 23 to Aug. 8, featuring weekly themes and highlighting water and sand play, woodworking and outdoor discovery. Concert and picnic meal

The members of Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church invite the community to an outdoor (weather permitting, otherwise indoor), free Christian concert featuring Branches Band on Tuesday, June 24. A picnic meal will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m., with the concert starting at 7, and lasting for about 1. 5 hours. The concert will be held on the grounds of the congregation at 2975 Nichols Ave., across the street from City Line Florist. Branches Band is based in Milwaukee, WI, and since 2008 the band has traveled to over 40 states and Canada serving more than 200 congregations, produced six studio albums, and completed many sheet-music arrangements, with plans to produce more albums and worship resources in the future.

Veneration of our Blessed Mother

Veneration of our Blessed Mother, sponsored by St. Catherine of Siena Knights of Columbus Council 5806, with a traveling Icon of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception image from the Basilica of Notre-Dame in Quebec, is scheduled for Tuesday, June 24, 7:30 p.m., at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Shelton Road, Trumbull. The service will include Scripture readings, the Rosary,and a Litany to the Blessed Virgin. All are welcome.

Vendors wanted

Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main Street (Route 111), is looking for arts and crafts vendors to be a part of their annual Blueberry, Blues and Bluegrass Festival. It will be held Saturday, July 19, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. For anyone interested, contact John DeLorme at 203-268-9090.
