Christmas Tea

On Thursday, Dec. 4, at 1 p.m., the Women’s Fellowship of Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road, will hold their annual Christmas Tea. The program will feature the singing group, the Park Street Singers. For reservations, call the church at 203-374-8822.

Holiday shopping night

St. Catherine of Siena Church will hold a holiday shopping night at the Parish Center, 210 Shelton Road, in Trumbull on Friday, Dec. 5, from 6:30-9 p.m.

Join us for a night of fun and shopping featuring: Wildtree, Dove Chocolate, personalized ornaments, Thirty-One, Avon, Vera Bradley, handcrafted jewelry, Tastefully Simple, Tupperware, and Mary Kay, Pink Zebra, Pampered Chef, jewelry, scarves, pocketbooks, and many more vendors.

No admittance fee. Church sponsored raffle. Food will be available for purchase from Vazzy’s Café.

Holiday Craft Festival

The Trumbull Holiday Craft Festival will take place in the church hall of Grace Episcopal Church, 5958 Main St., on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.  Admission is free.  For more information call 203-513-8690.

Christmas Craft Fair

Trinity Episcopal Church, 1734 Huntington Tpke., in Trumbull, will hold their Christmas Craft Fair on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with baked goods, cookies trays, cakes, jams, many antique treasures and collectibles; Christmas floral centerpieces, arts and crafts, silent auction items, religious items, and more.. Festival of the Nativity

There are many images of Christmas, but the Star of Bethlehem and the manger are the true images of the season. Nichols United Methodist Church is hosting a three day celebration of the Advent season.

There will be more thab 75 varied mangers, works of art, live music, and readings, all tied into the theme of the coming of Christ. The Festival of the Nativity will be held on Friday, Dec, 5, from 6-9 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 7, from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.

‘We Three Spies’ musical

Calvary Church, 498 White Plains Road, in Trumbull, will hold a Christmas musical, the story of Christmas We Three Spies. It will be performed by the children of Calvary Church on Sunday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m.

Refreshments will be served after the show. Free and open to the public.

Special Advent service

An evening of songs and meditation will be presented at Trumbull’s Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St., (route 111). It is not designed for any particular Christian sect, but for anyone seeking the peace of the season. It will be an evening of quiet, singing, prayer and meditation. It’s called the Taize`service. It comes from Burgundy, France where, following World War II, people in the tiny village of Taize` held a similar service to allow for an evening of quiet reflection to ponder the horrors of that war and to come together with renewed hope.

The service will take place at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17. Everyone welcome.

Chanukah Menorah lighting ceremony

The Mishkan Israel Day Camp will once again light a Menorah in celebration of the Chanukah holiday on Thursday, Dec. 18, 6:30 p.m., in front of Trumbull Town Hall. Free and open to the public. Christmas for Kids Fest

The 21st annual Christmas for Kids Fest will be held at Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2975 Nichols Ave., (across the street from City Line Florist), on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 1-4 p.m. Children ages 4 through 12 are invited to join us for an afternoon of games, festive singing, snacks and a presentation entitled “A Christmas By Any Other Name ... “ as we keep Christ in Christmas. Parents are welcome to stay or have the afternoon free for holiday preparations.
