Membership meeting — Knights of Columbus Council #5806 of St. Catherine of Siena will hold their monthly membership meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m. (church hall).  New members welcome! The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization engaged in charity.

Holiday pies can now be ordered — Christ Episcopal Church Tashua has announced they are offering double crust apple pies and apple crumb pies for sale for the holidays. You can now place your order for their homemade pies. The price per pie is $15 and they will be sold frozen. Contact the parish office to place your order via email: or by phone 203-268-5566. Pick up will be at Christ Church Tashua, 5170 Madison Ave., in Trumbull. Contact the parish office to schedule a pick up. The last day for pick up is Friday, Nov. 17. This supports the ministries at Christ Church Tashua.

St. Catherine of Siena — Knights of Columbus Council #5806 meeting on Thursday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m., in the St. Catherine of Siena Church Hall. New members are always welcome. Knights of Columbus holds a Tootsie Roll Drive after all masses on Nov. 18-19. Proceeds help people with special needs and intellectual disabilities, and will be donated to St. Catherine Academy in Fairfield.

Fr. Philip Bochanski, Priest in Residence at St. Catherine of Siena will appear on EWTN Sunday, Nov. 19, at 5 p.m., to discuss Courage International. Courage provides pastoral care and support for those who experience same-sex attraction. Confidential weekly group meetings

under the direction of a priest chaplain.

St. Catherine’s Youth Group holds a fun and faith filled event on Sunday, Nov. 19, from 6-8 p.m., in the McClinch Family Center. All high school students are welcome to participate. For information, call 203-377-3133.

Spaghetti supper and free concert — They were high school sweethearts and have become renowned in the world of Jazz. Now married, Atla DeChamplain is an accomplished jazz vocalist, while husband Matt is a musician mastering many instruments. They will be the entertainment at this month's Long Hill United Methodist Church spaghetti supper/ concert series on Saturday, Nov. 18. Spaghetti supper with salad, desserts and more will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dinners are $12; $11 for seniors. The free evening of jazz begins at 7 p.m. The church is located at 6358 Main St. (Route 111), Trumbull. For information, call 203-954-9691.

Thanksgiving service — The Trumbull Interfaith Council and Congregation B'nai Torah invite the community to the annual Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, Nov. 19, at 4 p.m., at the Synagogue at 5700 Main St., Trumbull. Rabbi Colin Brodie will preach the Thanksgiving message, along with clergy from Trumbull congregations participating in the service. A community choir will also be a part of the service. A reception will follow. Those attending are asked to bring non-perishable food items to be donated to Trumbull Social Services.

Christmas Tea — The Women's Fellowship of Unity Hill United Church of Christ will hold their annual Christmas Tea on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 1 p.m., in the church at 364 White Plain Road, Trumbull. Entertainment by the singing group Matinee four part harmony singers. Donations will be accepted for the Center for Family Justice. The church may be contacted at 203-374-8822 for reservations.

Holiday Happening Craft Fair — The Holiday Happening Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9, at Long Hill Methodist Church, in Bradley Hall, 6358 Main St., (next to Corner Deli), from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Admission is free. Do your Holiday shopping and support the school and local vendors at the same time.

Vendors, some direct marketers and some handmade, will be mostly cash and carry and some will accept credit cards. We have attached the flyer for the fair.
