Roast pork dinner with potato pancakes
The Altar Guild of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road, will be holding their roast pork dinner on Saturday, Nov. 1, starting at 6 p.m. Menu is roast pork and gravy, mashed potatoes, carrots, sauerkraut, potato pancakes, bread and butter, dessert, coffee and tea. Tickets: $15 for adults; $8 for children under 10. Attendees are asked to bring a nonperishable food item for Light on the Hill Food Pantry. Partial proceeds from the dinner will also be used to purchase food items for Light on the Hill Food Pantry. Reservations are required. Tickets must be paid for and picked up in advance. Holiday Basket Bonanza
There will be a Holiday Basket Bonanza on Sunday, Nov. 2, at Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road. Preview of baskets from 1-1:30 p.m.; raffle immediately following; $15 per person (includes a sheet of 25 raffle tickets, lite snacks and grand prize ticket). Children under 12 are free. TOPS now in Trumbull
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly), a non-profit organization, has a new chapter in Trumbull. The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 10:30 a.m., at Trinity Episcopal Church, 1734 Huntington Tpke., next door to Fairchild Nichols Memorial Library.
Membership is $28 per year which includes a monthly magazine; weekly dues are $2.

Trumbull Interfaith Committee meet
On Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 7:30 p.m., there will be a Trumbull Interfaith Committee meeting at St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St. Plans will be finalized for the Thanksgiving Eve service to be held on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 8 p.m., at the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension, 1460 Huntington Tpke.
World Community Day
On Friday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m., World Community Day will be celebrated by Church Women United of Greater Bridgeport at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 406 White Plains Road. Those attending are asked to bring a sandwich. For information, call 203-372-8844.
Judaic & Secular Book Fair
B’nai Torah Nursery School, 5700 Main St., is sponsoring a Judaic & Secular Book Fair from Nov. 18-23, with books for all ages: preschool through adult. Book fair hours are Tuesday, Nov. 18, 9 a.m.-6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 19, and Thursday, Nov. 20, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Friday, Nov 21, 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m., and will conclude on Sunday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Great books for holiday gifts will be available. Women’s Fellowship Luncheon
On Thursday, Nov. 20, at noon, the Women’s Fellowship of Unity Hill United Church of Christ will host their monthly luncheon at the church at 364 White Plains Road. You are invited to paint a ceramic decoration for Thanksgiving with Dawn Brezina. Cost for the ceramics is $6. Bring your favorite covered dish to share or pay $7 at the door for lunch.
