Special Advent service
An evening of songs and meditation will be presented at Trumbull’s Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St., (route 111). It is not designed for any particular Christian sect, but for anyone seeking the peace of the season. It will be an evening of quiet, singing, prayer and meditation. It’s called the Taize`service. It comes from Burgundy, France where, following World War II, people in the tiny village of Taize` held a similar service to allow for an evening of quiet reflection to ponder the horrors of that war and to come together with renewed hope.
The service will take place at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 17. Everyone welcome.
