Dinner show fund-raiser with Jack Lynn

Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road, Trumbull will hold a dinner show charity fund-raiser on Saturday, April 2, 5:30 p.m., with special guest, Jack Lynn. He will perform his “Dino” style and sound that will take you back to the “Swingin’ Rat Pack Years” of the late 40’s, 50’s and 60’s, as he sings all the great tunes made famous by Dean Martin. Tickets, $15 adult, $6 children and special $35 for family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children). The ticket includes food, soft drinks, entertainment and one raffle door prize ticket. All proceeds go to Haitian Helping Hands non-profit organization.

Interfaith Council meeting

CROP Hunger Walk kick-off rally

On Sunday, April 10 beginning at 2 p.m, the 42nd annual kick-off rally for the Greater Bridgeport CROP (Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty), Hunger Walk will take place at Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road, Trumbull. The Walk is set for Sunday, May 22, beginning at 1:30 p.m. At the rally, presentations will be given by Michelle McCabe, Director of Community Engagement and Food Access for the Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport, and Megan Miller of Church World Service. Women's Fellowship luncheon

On Thursday, April 21 at noon, the Women's Fellowship of Unity Hill United Church of Christ will hold their monthly meeting and luncheon at the church, 364 White Plains Road. The program will feature The Benefits of Tea, with Betty Johnson of Bigelow Tea. Hostesses are Marie Seavey and Dorothy Vars. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish or pay $7 at the door. Post-Mardi Gras Fun Night

Performing at Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension’s  Agahigian-Sherinian Church Hall, 1460 Huntington Tpke., on Saturday, April 23, at 6 p.m., will be a host of New York City talent:  The comedy team of The Three Stooges (impersonators), and as seen on the Conan O’Brien Show; Hye belly dancer Anna Pipoyan (as seen on America’s Got Talent; trumpeteer extraordinaire Ego, plus our own Chauncey Street Blues band, featuring Charlie, John and Peter Kuroghlian who will provide music.  Although this is a BYOB event, we will be offering Cajun cuisine, burgers, wieners, and soft beverages for sale. General admission is $20; under 18 free. 60th anniversary

St. Theresa School celebrates its 60th anniversary with dinner, dancing and a silent auction on Saturday, April 30, at Tashua Knolls Restaurant, beginning at 6 p.m. The evening will begin with a reception followed by dinner and culminating with a silent auction. The evening event is a fundraiser to help St. Theresa School fulfill its mission.

Kids Club

Children in grades K-6 are invited to enroll in a new Wednesday-night Kids Club at Long Hill Baptist Church, 100 Middlebrook Ave., (near Middlebook Elementary School), from 7-8:30 p.m. Each meeting will feature games, singing and a Bible study. There is no cost to attend.

Parents are invited to join an adult Bible Study, which also meets on Wednesday evenings at 7.
