Purim Carnival
Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., Trumbull will hold a Purim Carnival on Sunday, March 8, from noon to 2 p.m. This will be a family fun day including various skill games, prizes, crafts and face painting by JeriAnn Geller.

Speaker to discuss near-death experiences
Congregation Rodeph Sholom, Bridgeport, and Congregation B’nai Torah, Trumbull, will present Newtown author and motivational speaker, CJ Golden on Wednesday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m., at Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., Trumbull.
Golden will discuss her inspirational biography, “Reflections From Beyond ~ Sharing a Message of Hope, Peace and Kindness,” the story of the near-death experience of Tracy LaCroix. His journey is fascinating and uplifting, and CJ Golden presents it in a “brilliant, effective and positive, life and death affirming work.”

Handmade Happening
The Handmade Happening Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, March 14, at Long Hill Methodist Church and hosted by it’s Children’s Center at 6358 Main St., from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Every shopper receives a free raffle ticket.
Shop local. Support the small local businesses that will be there with their handmade items. Some of the items for sale will be adjustable necklaces, flavored oils, dog biscuits, coats for dogs, natural personal products, honey candles, sugar scrubs, pillows, in-laid wood cutting boards, sea glass jewelry, bottle openers, wood pallet creations, wire bangle bracelets, natural soaps, knit designs, stoneware, hand sewn accessories, glass bottles made into cheese trays, spoon rests and bowls.
Bus trip to Mohegan Sun Casino
St. Theresa Senior Club is sponsoring a bus trip to Mohegan Sun Casino on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Cost is $30. Bus leaves parking lot behind St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull, at 10 a.m., leaving Casino at 4:30 pm. Reservations, call Rosemarie 203-268-6992.
Easter for Kids program
The 22nd annual Easter for Kids program will be held at Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2975 Nichols Ave., across the street from City Line Florist, on Saturday, March 28, from 1-4 p.m. Children of the community ages 4-11 are invited to enjoy an afternoon which includes an Easter egg hunt, crafts, recreation, singing, snacks and activities about the first Easter. The theme for the event is: “New Life!”
