Corned beef dinner Saturday

Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Christ Church Tashua, 5170 Madison Ave. The annual ECW Corned Beef Dinner will be held on Saturday, March 14, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Adults $15 or 2/$25, 12 and under $7, Seniors $12.50. Please join us and bring your family and friends. All are welcome.

Handmade Happening

The Handmade Happening Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, March 14, at Long Hill Methodist Church and hosted by it’s Children’s Center at 6358 Main St., from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Every shopper receives a free raffle ticket.

Shop local. Support the small local businesses that will be there with their handmade items. Some of the items for sale will be adjustable necklaces, flavored oils, dog biscuits, coats for dogs, natural personal products, honey candles, sugar scrubs, pillows, in-laid wood cutting boards, sea glass jewelry, bottle openers, wood pallet creations, wire bangle bracelets, natural soaps, knit designs, stoneware, hand sewn accessories, glass bottles made into cheese trays, spoon rests and bowls.

Rescheduled spaghetti dinners/concerts

February’s snow means there will be two nights of spaghetti dinners and free concerts in March at Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main Street (Route 111).

Saturday, March 21, is an evening of Irish music featuring tenor Michael Jonovich. Also, on Saturday, March 28, it’s the debut performance of Yale’s renowned co-ed group Red Hot and Blue. They hit all the notes from jazz to Broadway to the Beatles and beyond. Both concerts are at 7 pm.

They follow our always popular spaghetti and meatball dinners. For $12 it’s pasta, salad, bread, beverage and dessert, beginning at 5:30 p.m. sharp.

Bus trip to Mohegan Sun Casino

St. Theresa Senior Club is sponsoring a bus trip to Mohegan Sun Casino on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Cost is $30. Bus leaves parking lot behind St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull, at 10 a.m., leaving Casino at 4:30 pm. Reservations, call Rosemarie 203-268-6992.

Easter for Kids program

The 22nd annual Easter for Kids program will be held at Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2975 Nichols Ave., across the street from City Line Florist, on Saturday, March 28, from 1-4 p.m. Children of the community ages 4-11 are invited to enjoy an afternoon which includes an Easter egg hunt, crafts, recreation, singing, snacks and activities about the first Easter. The theme for the event is: “New Life!”
