Divine Mercy Parish Mission
An afternoon parish mission will be held at St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Fr. Chris Alar, MIC, will speak about God's message of Divine Mercy, Mary who is God's gift of mercy, and the amazing connection between the Divine Mercy Image and the Shroud of Turin. The mission will conclude with the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Benediction. Fr. Alar will celebrate the Saturday vigil Mass at St. Stephen's Church following the mission. George's Hill to meet
George's Hill is a social engagement group for people diagnosed with early dementia and their caregivers. The group will meet the second Thursday of the month from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. A light lunch will be served from noon-12:30. The next meeting is on Thursday, Nov. 12, at Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road, Trumbull.Anyone with a wheelchair, or problems with mobility, may enter through the kitchen door in back as there are no steps to negotiate. Holiday basket bonanza
Holiday basket bonanza event on Sunday, Nov. 15, at Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Preview 1-1:30 p.m., raffle following immediately after; $15 per person (a sheet of raffle tickets, lite snacks and grand prize ticket). Children under 12 are free. Come join the fun and maybe win a basket or two. Put some tickets in a holiday themed basket or the one filled with breakfast treats. On Monday, Nov. 16, at 7 p.m., there will be a board meeting of the Bridgeport Area Branch of the American Association of University Women at Unity Hill United Church of Christ, 364 White Plains Road.. Carole Fanslow of Stratford is president. Plans will be finalized for the Holiday Social to be held on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Fairfield Public Library from 2-4 p.m.
Luncheon and ceramics
On Thursday, Nov. 19 at 12 noon the Women's Fellowship of Unity Hill United Church of Christ will hold their monthly luncheon meeting at the church, 364 White Plains Road. Program will feature Dawn Brezina and we will decorate a ceramic Thanksgiving napkin holder. Those attending are asked to bring a favorite covered dish or pay $7 at the door; also $6.50 for the ceramic piece. Make reservations with the church at 203-374-8822.
Open house for preschoolers
Long Hill United Methodist Children's Center, 6358 Main St., will have an Open House on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 9-11 a.m. Preschool for 3's and 4's. Full and part day programs. New pre-kindergarten program in 2016.

Raise the Roof concert

Spaghetti supper and concert
The next installment of the always sold out spaghetti supper-concert series at Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St., (route 111), is set for Saturday, Nov. 21. The dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. Doors will be opened to the public at 5. Dinner includes salad, bread, beverages and dessert and you can purchase meatballs for 50¢ each. This year they’ve started something new. Each gathering, they pick a ticket and that person receives a free dinner the following month.
This month's free concert features classical pianist Michael Maronich, now studying for his Masters of Music degree at the Manhattan School of Music. He often brings musical friends to join him, so you don't want to miss it. For more information, please call 203-954-9691.
On Monday, Nov. 23 at 8:00 p.m., the annual Thanksgiving service sponsored by the Trumbull Interfaith Council will be at the Armenian Church of the Holy Ascension, 1460 Huntington Tpke. Trumbull clergy and choirs from Trumbull congregations will be in the service. The Rev. Untzag Nalbandian of the host church will preach the Thanksgiving message. Those attending are asked to bring non-perishable food items for Trumbull Social Services. A reception will follow.
New Kids Club
Children in grades k-6 are invited to enroll in a new Wednesday-night Kids Club at Long Hill Baptist Church, 100 Middlebrook Ave., (near Middlebook Elementary School), from 7-8:30 p.m. Each meeting will feature games, singing and a Bible study. There is no cost to attend.
Parents are invited to join an adult Bible Study, which also meets on Wednesday evenings at 7.
