Women’s Passover Seder
Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., Trumbull will present a community-wide Women’s Passover Seder on Sunday, March 30, from 2-4:30 p.m. The seder will be led by Rabbi Amanda Brodie and will include music, singing, dancing and facial art by JeriAnn Geller. Interfaith Committee meet
On Wednesday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m., Trumbull Interfaith Committee will meet at Trumbull Congregational Church, 3115 Reservoir Ave. Plans will be finalized for this year's Good Friday service at Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Road, Trumbull on April 18 at noon.
Vendor Bender
The third annual Vendor Bender will take place on Saturday, April 5, from 6-10 p.m. Come and support St. Theresa School by having a fun night out with friends and family by shopping. Up to 30 local vendors. Appetizers and wine tasting included in the $15 entry price. Tickets can be obtained at St. Theresa School or by calling 203-650-4765.
Easter for Kids program
The 21th annual Easter for Kids program will be held at Christ Redeemer Lutheran Church on Saturday, April 5, from 1-4 p.m. The children of the community ages 4-11 are invited to enjoy an afternoon, which includes an Easter egg hunt, crafts, recreation, singing, snacks and activities about the first Easter. The theme for the event is: “Have an Eggcellent Easter!” The church is located at 2975 Nichols Ave. in Trumbull across the street from City Line Florist. CROP Walk for Hunger
On Sunday, April 6 at 2 p.m., the 40th annual CROP Walk for Hunger Rally will be at Long Hill United Methodist Church, 6358 Main St. Special celebration for the 40th CROP Walk. Awards to be presented; Trumbull Social Services to be highlighted; William Wildey, Vice President for Development for Church World Service will present a short program. Refreshments will follow.
The 40th annual CROP Hunger Walk will kick-off on Sunday, May 4, 2014, beginning at 1:30 p.m., at the United Congregational Church, corner of State and Park Avenue, Bridgeport. Crucified One Easter Cantata
The Life of Christ in Song and Drama, will be performed by local youth on Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 7 p.m., at the Stratford Theater, 2422 Main St., in Stratford. Donation is $6 for adults; $3 for children. For more information, call 203-371-8265.
Family Passover Seder
Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., will host a family Passover Seder on Tuesday, April 15, beginning at 6 p.m. All dinners include soup, gefilte fish, crudites, entree, dessert and beverages. Adult meals are $40 per person with entree choice of brisket, chicken or eggplant marinara. Child (under age 8) meals are $22 each with chicken tenders and chicken soup. Good Friday worship service
On Friday, April 18, at noon, there will be a Good Friday worship service at Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Road, Trumbull, sponsored by the Trumbull Interfaith Committee. The host Pastor is the Rev. Joseph Piccirillo. The offering will benefit the Pastoral Counseling Center of Trumbull.
Cruise around the Boston Harbor
St. Theresa Seniors will host a cruise on the Odyssey around the Boston Harbor, a way to see the harbor from the water on Thursday, June 12. Departure is 7:30 a.m. from St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., in Trumbull. Estimated return time is 7:30 p.m. Price is $97, due by May 15 and includes a three-course plated meal on board with live music. Also, there will be time to visit Quincy Market following the cruise.
