Dan Mills and The Fairweather Band

On Saturday June 15, at 7:30 p.m., the Trumbull Congregational Church (TCC) will host a concert in the sanctuary, featuring the music of NYC-based singer/songwriter Dan Mills. He will be fronting a five-piece band, including pianist Adam Podd, who serves as TCC’s Music Director. In addition to Mills’s original material, the band will play a set of gospel and bluegrass favorites.

There will be a flexible $10 suggested donation at the door, proceeds will support TCC’s Music Fund. Families are encouraged to come, bring your music-loving kids, and pay what you will.

Women’s luncheon

Four Seasons Christian Women's luncheon will be held at Calvary Life Center at Calvary Church, 498 White Plains Road, on Thursday, June 20, noon-2 p.m. Cost is: $14 catered lunch, special music, gifts, speakers and special feature:  Kim Bensen of  the Kim Bensen Weight Loss Center and  Kim's Light Café in Shelton. Food Festival

St. George Orthodox Church, 5490 Main St., is hosting it's annual Food Festival, on Saturday, June 22, from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. The event features ethnic pastries, stuffed cabbage, chicken gyros, pierogies,, Take a Chance table, and more. ‘Tribal Humor 7’

The Temple Players opens its 16th season with a staged reading of Tribal Humor 7, a festival of six original one-act comedies on Thursday, June 20, and Sunday, June 23, at 7:30 p.m. The show will be held at Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., Trumbull.

The plays explore relationships, issues of aging, the challenges of Jewish dating, the stress of bar mitzvah planning and more.

The Trumbull-based Temple Players, formerly of Stratford, is Connecticut’s first theater dedicated to staging works with Jewish themes and characters.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students and seniors. Doors open at 7 p.m. Presented in a cabaret-style setting, light refreshments are available for purchase. For more information and reservations, call 203-268-6940.

Vacation Bible School

Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Road in Trumbull, is hosting a Vacation Bible School this summer. Blood drive

Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., Trumbull, is hosting a blood drive on Wednesday, July 10, from 1:30-6:30 p.m. For an appointment to donate, call 1-800-RedCross or online at Walk-ins are welcome.

Help is needed to escort donors and restock sandwiches, beverages and snacks. If available to volunteer, contact the office at 203-268-6940.
