Mishkan Israel Day Camp holds menorah lightings

The Mishkan Israel Day Camp will once again light a menorah in celebration of the Chanukah holiday at 6 p.m., at the following locations:


  • Monday, Dec. 26, on Monroe Town Green

  • Tuesday, Dec. 27, in front of Trumbull Town Hall

  • Wednesday, Dec. 28, on Easton Town Green

  • Thursday, Dec. 29, on Sherman Town Green, Fairfield


This year marks the 27th year that Mishkan has been lighting the Menorah in Fairfield, the 31st in Easton and Trumbull, the fifth annual in Monroe, and the 71st year of serving the entire Fairfield County region by providing programs and assistance to those in need. This yearly event is held in conjunction with the holiday of Chanukah.

These annual events will be attended by First Selectmen of Fairfield, Easton, Trumbull and Monroe: Michael C. Tetreau, Adam Dunsby, Tim Herbst and Steve Vavrek, in addition to the chief’s of the police and fire departments of these towns, many other town officials and dignitaries, and representation of the state police department.

Events are free and open to the public and include refreshments, musical entertainment, and a special children’s program.
