Rutigliano: Committed to opportunity

State Rep. Dave Rutigliano
State Rep. Dave Rutigliano

I’m State Representative David Rutigliano and I am asking for your vote on November 8th. It has been the honor of my life to represent the Residents of Trumbull in Hartford. I would like to continue the good work I’ve done on behalf of Trumbull residents in the 123rd district.

I have served as your State Representative since 2012 and I am a Ranking Member of the Labor Committee and I sit on the General Law and Finance Committee. I am a small business owner with over 20 years’ experience creating jobs. I am a partner in the SBC Restaurant Group, which owns and operations the Sitting Duck Tavern, Local Kitchen and Beer Bar and Southport Brewing Company.

Our state is in a financial crisis. We do not have a balanced budget, we raid the rainy-day fund to pay our bills, our spending is out of control and the failed policies of Governor Malloy and the Democrat majority in Hartford have driven our businesses and our young people out of the state.

I am asking for your vote so that I can return to Hartford and continue to work on common sense principles that will turn Connecticut around and make it a great place to live, work and play. I am focused on ensuring that we have only have the government that we need and that we remove the burdensome regulations and mandates that prevent our businesses from growing and creating jobs.

I am especially concerned about keeping our young people here in Connecticut. We need to create jobs and opportunities so that our college graduates, high school graduates and trade school graduates have good paying jobs that will allow them to stay her if they so choose, or in some cases, come back home to plant their roots and grow a family.

Clearly, the failed policies of the Democrat controlled legislature have created such a poor business environment and we are losing our young people to other states. Listen, if you want to get on an airplane to visit your kids, vote for a Democrat. If you would like your kids to come over for Sunday dinner, please vote for me and others like me that represent the change that Connecticut so desperately needs.

I ask for your support and vote in re-electing me to represent the residents of Trumbull in the 123rd district. I have a 100% voting record and I am endorsed by the Connecticut Business and Industry Association and the National Federation of Independent Business as the candidate that is most qualified to create jobs, support business, balance budget and ensure that we enact legislation that puts Connecticut on the path to prosperity.
