A Massapequa, N.Y., woman was arrested for disorderly conduct at a home on Barnswallow Drive at 9:31 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28. Police said Teresa Carolyn Young, 66, got into a physical altercation with a Trumbull woman who\u2019s engaged to her son. According to a report, the conflict stemmed from an argument that started when Young was trying watching TV while the son of her soon-to-be daughter-in-law was doing his homework in the next room. Young told police that there was no fighting and that the woman, Olivia Dieffenbach, 24, tried to take the phone from her, which led to the argument. The report said that Dieffenbach had a different version of the story, telling police that she disconnected the cable in Young\u2019s room so her son could do his work. The young mother told police that sparked the fight, and resulted in her making a 911 call. According to the report, Young lives with Dieffenbach and her son at the home on Barnswallow Drive. Dieffenbach was also charged with a summons for disorderly conduct and was released with a promise to appear in court. Young appeared in court Tuesday, Sept. 29.
