A Trumbull student attending Hofstra University was found unresponsive in his dorm room Friday morning, according to  NewsDay.com.

Conor Wynne, 20, of Trumbull, was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:50 a.m., Nassau Police said.

The death is under investigation. Criminality is not suspected, according to reports.

Hofstra University officials sent the campus community news of the death of Wynne, a freshman, and voiced condolences to his family.

"The entire Hofstra community is saddened by the loss of Conor Wynne, a first-year student from Connecticut, who was majoring in marketing," the bulletin said. "As a community, we mourn for Conor and extend our thoughts and prayers to his friends and family during this difficult time."
