Trumbull officers graduate from detective program
Officer Edgar Perez and Officer Dan Wheeler, of the Trumbull Police Department graduated from a two week long school sponsored by the Fairfield County Detectives Conference on Tuesday May 5.
Officers from ten different municipal police departments and the Connecticut State Police participated in the class, which covered a wide variety of subjects including arson and bomb investigations, computer and financial crimes, crime scene processing and court testimony among others.
Organized in 1962, the Fairfield County Detective Conference is an organization of law enforcement professionals which provides training and encourages cooperation of all state, local and federal investigations throughout Southwestern Connecticut. Each year the Detective Conference presents the two week course for officers of member agencies, utilizing instructors drawn from all levels of law enforcement. Over the course of more than 50 years the organization has trained hundreds of detectives and provided a network of professionals who all share the common interest of criminal investigation.
