Trumbull neighbor arrested in Edison Road burglary
Trusting your neighbors isn’t always easy.
Just ask the homeowners at 310 Edison Road, who had three men — one of whom was their neighbor — break into their residence around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 15.
Police said Jonathan DeJesus, 21, of Edison Road, was arrested for burglary in the third degree, larceny in the sixth degree, and possession of marijuana after Trumbull dispatch received reports of two suspicious men walking around the rear of the home.
In addition, Lynn Viera, 20, of New York City, and Jeremy Falk, 21, of Stamford were also arrested with burglary in third degree and larceny in the sixth degree.
According to Trumbull police Lt. Leonard Scinto, officers arrived on the scene and located an open rear door that appeared to have been forced open.
Police found two male subjects standing in the kitchen and a third person was located in another bedroom in the home.
All three men were in possession of items that were being stolen from the home, Scinto confirmed.
DeJesus, the Trumbull neighbor, told police that he was checking the house out because he was curious as to why it had been vacant for a while.
The owner was located and stated the residence was in foreclosure.
All three suspects were detained on a $500 bond before being released.
