Trumbull man, in jail for sexually abusing children, faces new charges
A Trumbull man, charged in May and July with sexually abusing three children, now faces additional charges, as a result of the Trumbull Police investigation.
Javier Valdovinos, 54, of 155 White Plains Road is currently in jail due to previous warrants in Trumbull. In July, police said he abused three children, including two girls, 12 and 14, and one 14 year-old boy, over a period of several years.
On Monday, Sept. 29, police served Valdovinos with another arrest warrant for two counts of first-degree sexual assault, six counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and eight counts of risk of injury to a minor. Police did not release additional details but said the charges were related to the ongoing investigation.
Valdovinos was charged in July with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault, unlawful restraint, and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. The male victim, a family member, reportedly told police he was raped by Valdovinos.
In May, Valdovinos was charged with third-degree sexual assault, three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and five counts of risk of inury to a minor. At the time, police said the abuse involved two girls. Following that arrest, more victims came forward, police, said and the investigation was ongoing.
An additional $200,000 bond was placed on Valdovinos.
