A Inwood Road resident who allegedly spit on an officer was arrested early Sunday morning.
Police say Tyler Paolini, 20, ran toward an officer who had stopped a motor vehicle around 1 a.m. Jan. 11. The officer was questioning the occupants in the car. Paolini was allegedly the brother of one of the men in the car and lives nearby. When Paolini saw his brother taken out of the car, he began coming at the officer in an aggressive way, police said.
When additional officers arrived, Paolini allegedly continued to act aggressively and spit on an officer.
He was charged with assault on a police officer and interfering with police.
Police say the car had been pulled over for suspicious behavior. The driver and passengers were issued infractions for marijuana and drug paraphernalia possession.
Paolini is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 20.
