Traffic stop on Route 25 leads to narcotics arrest

On June 7, at about 10:49 p.m. troopers from Troop G-Bridgeport observed a vehicle cutting across the gore area on route 25 southbound at exit 2 in Bridgeport. Troopers stopped the vehicle, a 2011 black Audi S5, at the bottom of the exit 1 ramp.

Troopers conducted a traffic stop and initiated an investigation after learning narcotics may be contained in the vehicle.

Through the course of the investigation troopers located more than 2.3 pounds of marijuana, 52.1 grams of concentrated THC, more than $1,600 U.S. currency, digital scales, narcotic packaging material, and other drug paraphernalia.

The operator, Christian S. Scott, 21, of 7 Richelieu Street, Norwalk was taken into custody and transported to Troop G where he was processed and released after posting a $5,000 bond pending his court date set for June 24 at Bridgeport Superior Court.

The marijuana, cash, paraphernalia and all other items were seized and transported to Troop G where they were held as evidence.

Scott was charged with failure to drive in proper lane; drug paraphernalia; possession with intent to sell; possession of controlled substance: hallucinogenic; and possession of controlled substance: non-narcotic.
