Great teamwork from three volunteer fire departments led to a quick and efficient extinguishing of a vehicle that ablaze in a Deer Run Drive garage around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15.

According the Facebook page of the Long Hill Volunteer Fire Co. #1, the three departments — Trumbull Center, Long Hill and Nichols — responded to a call of a reported structure fire near the Trumbull Center district that came in at 9:31 p.m.

"On arrival Engine 206 reported a vehicle on fire in the garage," the post read. "The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished.

"This was a great team effort by all departments involved including the Trumbull Police, Trumbull EMS and the Trumbull Fire Marshal's Office," the post added.

There were no reported injuries or damage to the home. The cause of the fire has been unreported and it is unknown if anyone was home in the residence at the time responders arrived at the scene.
