Two suspects have been charged in the Twin Brooks Park incident in which a 60-year-old man was allegedly beaten and dragged into the roadway November 24.

On December 7, Trumbull police arrested Holger Jarrin, 19, of Elmhurst, NY, on robbery and assault charges. Jarrin was charged with attempted second-degree robbery, attempted second-degree larceny and second-degree assault of an elderly person. He was held on $150,000 bond for court December 17.

Jarrin is the second of three assailants to be charged in this incident. He turned himself in to Trumbull police after he learned that there was a warrant for his arrest.

Cristofer Fuentes-Salguero, 18, of Bridgeport was arrested December 3 second-degree robbery, second-degree larceny and second-degree assault on an elderly person. He was held on $150,000 bond for court December 10.

Police Chief Michael Lombardo said he was very pleased with how hard detectives worked to identify the suspects. He also acknowledged the hard work of officers who first arrived on the scene after the attack.
The victim “is doing well physically,” Lombardo said.
He urged people to be aware of their surroundings as they are shopping and walking around town and said if people see something suspicious they should call the Trumbull Police Department.
