
The Trumbull Police Department made the following arrests between Tuesday, May 24 and Monday, May 30:
Baby formula, laundry detergent stolen from Target
A Bridgeport woman was arrested for larceny in the fifth degree at the Target on Main Street at 1:21 p.m. Monday, May 30.
Police said Octavia Lee, 46, stolen 10 cans of baby formula, several containers of Tide laundry detergent and a dozen rolls of paper towel from the department store.
According to a report, Target’s loss prevention department observed the woman leave without paying for the 30 stolen items that totaled $514.30.
Lee was brought to Trumbull police headquarters where she was released on a promise to appear in court Monday, June 6.
Speeding through red light yields DUI arrest
A Milford woman was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol on Main Street in Trumbull at 8:57 p.m. Friday, May 27.
Police said Mary Hamilton, 26, was seen driving erratically in the southbound lane before she crossed over the double-yellow line twice and hit a curb.
According to a report, Hamilton also drove right through a red light without stopping at the intersection of Main Street and Edison Road, where she was pulled over by a Trumbull officer.
Hamilton smelled of alcohol, the report said, and failed all field sobriety tests.
She refused a breathalyzer test at department headquarters and was released on a $500 bond.
She is scheduled to appear in court Monday, June 6.
