Car vandalized

A Strobel Road woman was arrested on two counts of criminal mischief in the second degree at a Winding Way residence at 11:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8

Police said Elvera Mihalko, 24, went to pick up her son from her ex-boyfriend’s home and vandalized his car after a brief verbal disagreement.

According to a report, Mihalko was upset when she saw the man’s current girlfriend inside his home.

She went outside and the boyfriend reported that he heard a large band, the report added.

Police said that Mihalko used a key to scratch both sides of the man’s vehicle and also dented the back-right quarter panel with a heavier object.

The son was in the house during the incident and there was no physical altercation, according to the report.

Mihalko was released with a promise to appear in court Tuesday, Jan. 19.
