Police break up domestic dispute at Ruby Tuesday’s
A Bridgeport man turned himself in on a warrant for disorderly conduct at the Trumbull Police Department around 8:30 p.m. Monday, April 4.
Police said Christian Reid, 23, had a domestic dispute with his girlfriend at the Ruby Tuesday’s in the Westfield Trumbull mall on March 18.
According to a report, Reid and the female victim share a 1-year-old child together. The report said that the young father went to Ruby Tuesday’s, where the girlfriend works, and threatened to take the child with him to Florida.
Police said he created a scene in the restaurant and caused the woman to run into one of the store’s bathroom for protection.
The report said he followed her into the bathroom, which drew the ire of the restaurant’s manager, who called mall security.
Reid left the scene before police arrived on the scene and they put out a warrant for his arrest.
Trumbull police tried to get the young father to turn himself in but he refused, fearing he would be arrested.
After more than two weeks, he decided to turn himself in on the warrant. He was processed and released on a $5,000 bond.
He appeared in court Tuesday, April 5.
