A Trumbull man is charged with sexually abusing three children, including two girls 12 and 14, and one 14 year-old boy, over a period of several years.

Police say charges brought forward by a potential fourth victim are being investigated.

Javier Valdovinos, 54, was arrested in May and again surrendered to police on Wednesday, July 2 on a third warrant, with additional sexual assault charges.

On Wednesday, Valdovinos was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, third-degree sexual assault, unlawful restraint, and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. The male victim, a family member, reportedly told police he was raped by Valdovinos.

The Times reported in May that Valdovinos was charged with third-degree sexual assault, three counts of fourth-degree sexual assault and five counts of risk of inury to a minor. At the time, police said the abuse involved two girls.   The assaults ranged from the victims being fondled, forced to touch Valdovinos, or the suspect exposing himself to the two victims, police said at the time. Following that arrest, more victims came forward.

Trumbull Police said Thursday that Valdovinos is being held on $500,000 bond, related to the third warrant. Investigation is ongoing.
