A man who allegedly caused a serious head-on collision on Route 108 last May, has been charged with driving under the influence, police said.

Bilal Khan, 23, of Bridgeport, turned himself in on a warrant Aug. 8. Police said Khan was driving too fast and recklessly when the accident occurred.

Khan, his passenger and the other driver all had serious injuries, though non-life threatening, and were transported to the hospital. Police later obtained a warrant that showed Khan’s blood alcohol content was .081 following the crash.

He was charged with DUI and reckless driving.
