A woman who worked as a cleaning lady at a home in Trumbull allegedly stole two expensive pieces of jewelry and a blank check from the owner.
Noemi Nieves, 36, of Bridgeport worked for a cleaning service, used by a Trumbull homeowner. The resident noticed her missing rings and suspected that Nieves had been in the home around the time of disappearance. She contacted the company that employed Nieves and was told that she had been arrested in Westport on similar charges.
Police in Westport had found a blank check and jewelry belonging to the Trumbull resident when they apprehended Nieves.
Nieves was charged with second-degree larceny April 3 and is scheduled to appear in court April 10.
