Trumbull police are investigating a burglary that took place after midnight at the Mobil Service Center on White Plains Road.

An Old Dyke Road woman was arrested for threatening in the second degree, assault in the third degree, and disorderly conduct at her home around 11:20 p.m. Monday, May 9.

Police said Dawn Larson, 53, got into a domestic incident with her husband, Jeffrey, 55, who was also arrested for assault in the third degree and disorderly conduct.

According to a report, Jeffrey called police dispatch and reported that his wife was coming after him with a knife.

On the scene, Trumbull officers took statements from both Jeffrey and Dawn, who each claimed being the victim of a knife-wielding threat.

Dawn told police that she took the knife from Jeffrey after he had lunged at her with it.

Besides that testimony, police said, the couple was not forthcoming with details from the incident, which made it difficult to confirm who was the aggressor in the dispute.

A report said that both Jeffrey and Dawn had lacerations on their faces from the incident, but neither requested medical treatment.

They each posted a $500 bond and were scheduled to appear in court Tuesday, May 10.
