Police are once again urging residents to lock their cars at night after nine vehicles were ransacked, and two stolen, Thursday night.

According to reports, residents in the White Plains Road and Beardsley Parkway area reported personal items stolen from unlocked cars Friday morning. A 2013 Toyota and 2005 Honda were also reported stolen. Both vehicles were later recovered in the North End of Bridgeport.

In addition to the cars, purses, credit cards and other property were also taken from cars. Police have linked these thefts to a group of juveniles who are moving from town to town through different neighborhoods overnight and avoiding police patrols..
