A manager at Express in the Westfield Trumbull has been charged with stealing merchandise and cash from the store.
The corporate headquarters discovered the store was losing money and merchandise and police say manager Francesco Rende, 20, of Trumbull, admitted to his employer he was behind the theft. Police said he stole cash and items between July and December 2014, totaling $1,889.
Rende was charged with fourth-degree larceny on Feb. 13 and will appear in court Feb. 20.
