Explosives, rifles seized from Trumbull home

Police seized explosive devices, rifles and ammunition from a 60 Linley Road residence Wednesday.

Lt. Leonard Scinto said police served a search and seizure warrant after receiving information that resident Eric Rogers, 39, possessed what was described as several half sticks of dynamite.

Police entered the home around 10:30 a.m. and seized six M1000’s, several rifles and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, Scinto said.

Members of the Connecticut State Police Emergency Services unit assisted and took possession of the explosive devices. Rogers was arrested and charged with six counts of illegal possession of an explosive device and was being held on a $100,000 bond.
