Halloween Happenings — Monthly birthday party. Middlebrook Farms of Trumbull sponsors the monthly birthday party. Everyone with an October birthday is invited to be the guest of honor on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m., in the snack bar. RSVP by calling 203-452-5199 and let them know if it’s your birthday.

Pumpkin carving painting class and contest — Monday, Oct. 28, at 11 a.m., for a complimentary pumpkin carving and decorating class. There will be a 30 minute demonstration and pumpkin carving class. All pumpkins will be judged at the Halloween party. Prizes will be awarded. RSVP at 203-452-5199.

Halloween party and costume contest — Thursday, Oct. 31, at 1 p.m. Prizes will be awarded for first place, most creative; second place, original; and third place, funniest/scariest. This event is free of charge, tickets available at the desk. Donations of pumpkins and mums are needed for our Halloween party.

Notary Public available — Monday through Friday. Call for an appointment.

Pizza and a movie — October 18, $1 per person. Pizza served at noon. Movie begins at 1 p.m.; Something’s Gotta Give, starring Diane Keaton, Jack Nicholson and Keenu Reeves. Rated PG 13.

Bingo game — Friday, Oct. 25, 1 p.m. Plenty of prizes and fun. Limited seating. Call Sharon or Jean at 203-452-5199 to RSVP.

Energy Assistance — Social Services is currently taking appointments for the 2013-2014 season. For income guidelines, paperwork needed and appointments, call Social Services at 203-452-5198.
