The Trumbull Historical Society, 1856 Huntington Tpke., is introducing The “Bee” Hive, starting Wednesday, April 30, at 6:30 p.m.

Did you know that a “bee” can mean “a gathering of people for a specific purpose"? Quilting bees, husking bees, spinning bees and others were common in colonial New England, often as a social as well as productive gathering. We will be carrying on the tradition at the Historical Society.

Every last Wednesday of the month at 6:30 PM, we will gather together at the “hive” (THS) to work on existing projects, share ideas and friendship. No need to register, just bring yourself, some handwork, and a friend. Others with experience quilting, knitting, crocheting, etc., will be in the group, so we just may have answers to some of your questions (or know how to get them).

Cost: $5 (includes tea+). Call 203-377-6620 for any questions or e-mail Trumbullhistory@gmail.com.
