Troy Fine Art’s latest exhibit, “A Connecticut Summer Soiree,” featuring works by select gallery artists such as Jennifer Sabella, Marilyn Surani, Richard Bruce, Greg Gustafon and R.J. Itcher, is currently on display through Aug. 30.

Both realistic and abstract waterways, the exhibition will reflect unique forms of water through painting, pastel and fine art photography, capturing a variety of coastal locations.

Surani’s 30 years of artistic experience has led her to a conceptual approach in her photography that often resembles a painting. One of her current studies includes a water series that expresses a vision of nature, accentuating mood from movement.

Bruce demonstrates his atmospheric interpretations of  local coastlines in a dreamlike fashion. His acrylic paintings on panel convey his passion for impressionism and color-saturated horizons.

Sabella created her own artistic vision by using a drip and etch technique to convey placid water through the intricate use of abstract lines.
