The annual Long Hill United Methodist Church Blueberry Festival, the town’s largest blueberry festival, will be held Saturday, Aug. 3, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at the church and it is a rain or shine event.

The women at Long Hill United Methodist Church have spent the past several weeks making more than 200 blueberry pies, along with blueberry muffins, and blueberry coffee cakes. Pies will be sold by the slice, or you can purchase entire pies to take home. Some of the pies will be freshly baked, while others have been frozen. This allows you to bake them at home at your convenience.

Also being served festival will be hot dogs, hamburgers, cheesburgers, veggie burgers, chicken salad and blueberry sandwiches on criossants, blueberry ice cream sundaes, and beverages. There will be a number of crafters on site, as well as a children’s area which includes games and face painting.

Long Hill United Methodist Church is located at 6358 Main St., (Rt. 111) in Trumbull, next to The Corner Deli. There is plenty of parking on the church grounds plus at nearby Saint Joseph’s Manor.
