Purim is a Jewish festival celebrating the avoidance of an ancient genocide. To celebrate Purim, Congregation B’nai Torah, 5700 Main St., Trumbull will be holding multiple events in March. One of the customs of this holiday is Mishloach Manot, the sending of two or more edible treats to friends and family. In conjunction with this upcoming festival, the synagogue announces its annual Mishloach Manot project.

For a donation of $10 per box, B’nai Torah will handle preparation and local delivery of baskets to addresses in Trumbull, Monroe, Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Newtown, Stratford and Shelton. Delivery beyond the local area is available for addresses anywhere in the country for an additional fee of $7 per box to cover the postage.

Orders for the baskets must be received in the B’nai Torah office by Friday, Feb. 21.
