Congregation B'nai Torah to host movie night
Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 7:30 p.m., Congregation B'nai Torah, 5700 Main St., will be presenting the film The Other Son. This 4-star film is a moving and provocative tale of two young men, one Israeli and one Palestinian.
As Joseph prepares to join the Israeli army for his national service, he discovers he is not his parents' biological son, but that he was inadvertently switched at birth with Yassin, the son of a Palestinian family from the West Bank. This revelation turns the lives of these two families upside down, forcing them to reassess their respective identities, their values and their beliefs.
This is open to the community. Admission is $5, refreshments included. The films lasts 1:45, and a discussion following the film will be led by Patty Schein, M.Ed., LMFT, LPC.
Movie Night is sponsored by Margery and Peter Verlezza. For more information, contact the office at 203-268-6940 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
