St.Theresa students bake for Merton House

The kindergartners and their sixth grade buddies at St. Theresa School spent an afternoon together baking for the guests at Merton House. The sixth graders helped their young buddies to add ingredients and bake brownies. The students also colored big cards for the guests at Merton House. Merton House vice president, Mark Grasso, welcomed the delivery crew with 16 pans of brownies, still warm from the oven. He said it is rare that the guests at Merton House receive homemade treats.

Baking brownies allowed these buddies to enjoy time together and reach out to help others. . The younger students know they have someone looking out for them, and the older students have the opportunity to show compassion and leadership.
