Scoring a goal for Sandy Hook

Booth Hill School fifth grade students held a special fund-raiser last Friday, with proceeds to be donated to the Connecticut PTSA Sandy Hook Fund. Students each donated money for a chance to score a hockey goal against School Principal Dana Pierce and his son.

Storm, from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers also stopped by for the event.Three  students, Gillian Hannon, Gigi Caruso, and Charlotte Erenberg also sold homemade fabric hair bows for the fund-raiser as well.

The combined efforts of the fifth grade students raised $421, as of last Friday. According to the CT PTSA, all money donated to the fund will go to the Sandy Hook Elementary PTA, to enhance the lives and learning of students through classroom and community based programs, resources, and enrichment.
