Booth Hill School
There are many exciting events coming up as we near the end of the school year!

The 5th grade chorus concert will be held on Thursday, May 12, at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, May 12, the 3rd grade will be having a Dinosaurs Rock field trip.

The 4th grade field trip to Hartford will be on Wednesday, May 18.

The 1st grade field trip to the library will be on Thursday, May 19.

The band and strings concert will be held on Thursday, May 19, at 7 p.m.

Kindergarten orientation and bus ride will be held on Wednesday, May 25, at 9 a.m.

Frenchtown School
Thursday, May 12 will be a PTA meeting and PTA elections at 6:30 p.m. Hope you can join us!

Family Science Night is Friday, May 13, at 6:30 p.m. Mad Science of Fairfield and New Haven CountiesFire and Ice will be featured.

Grades 2 and 5 chorus concerts will be Tuesday, May 17, at 7 p.m.

Trumbull’s District-eide Cultural Committee will meet on Thursday, May 19 at 7 p.m., at Frenchtown School. The meeting will be in the media center. All are invited to attend.

Kindergarten bus rides for incoming kindergartners will be on May 25 or May 26. Information was mailed home.

Jane Ryan School
The PTA is still looking to fill some vacancies for the 2016-18 term, including co-presidents, Bingo Chairperson and Reflections Chairperson. Contact Diana Inesta or Kristine Vitola if interested.

Caribbean Day is Tuesday, May 17. Fliers came home in backpacks. Mrs. Bolton will be cooking and the cost is $2.75 per person in cash or lunch card.

Student Council’s mini me raffle is underway. Win a chance to work alongside some of Jane Ryan’s faculty, including Mrs. Bolton, Mr. Hackett, mrs. Bryk, Mrs. Fryz and Mrs. Chappa, to name a few. Proceeds to benefit Camp Rising Sun and other local charities that support families who have children battling cancer. Fliers and tickets came home in children’s backpack. Deadline is Friday, May 13 for entries.

The Kids Marathon is officially kicked off for spring. The kids are running on Wednesdays and Fridays. Forms have gone out and should be returned to school to sign up for the final mile on May 22. The PTA will be asking for volunteers as we get closer to the final mile to help that day.

Save The Date for two Father’s Club events. Dinner and Dueling Pianos at Marisa’s on Friday, May 13 and the annual campout on Saturday, June 4 on the field behind Jane Ryan. A flier on Dueling Pianos went home in backpacks. The event is $40 per person to be paid in advance. Cost includes piano show, salad, pasta, entrée, bread, soft drinks, coffee, and ice cream. The Spring Concert will be on Tuesday, May 24 at Madison Middle School at 7 p.m. Featured will be the school’s string orchestra, school band and fifth grade chorus.

The fourth grade Flag Day concert will be held on Friday, June 10 in the cafeteria for fourth grade parents and families at 2:15 p.m.
