There will be no school on Tuesday, Nov. 8, for Election Day.
Booth Hill School
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held through Oct. 27.

The next PTA meeting will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Please come and share your ideas.

Send in your Box Tops for Education to earn money for Booth Hill School. There is a collection box in the main office. The class with the most Box Tops by Friday, Oct. 28, will earn extra recess.

There is early dismissal on Tuesday, Nov. 1 and Thursday, Nov. 3  for afternoon conferences. There is also early dismissal on Wednesday, Nov. 9, for evening conferences.
Frenchtown School
We will culminate Red Ribbon Week – Frenchtown Students Elect to be Drug Free! on Friday,  Oct. 28. On Thursday, students will wear mix and match clothing for the message Don’t Get Mixed Up in Drugs! And Friday, wear spirit wear or blue and white to show Our School is Drug Free!

Friday,  Oct. 28, is the PTA Halloween Party. Tickets must be ordered in advance and will not be sold at the door. There are two sessions; 5:30-7, and 7:30-9 p.m.

Halloween classroom celebrations will be held on Monday, Oct. 31.

Legal day dismissal at 1 p.m., no lunch served on Nov. 1, Nov. 3 and Nov. 9, due to parent/teacher conferences. Letters have been sent home with your assigned date and time.

On Wednesday, Nov. 2, from 6-7:30 p.m., Frenchtown will be hosting a parent forum and discussion on Bullying and Other Forms of Mean Behavior in School Settings, presented by JoAnne Freiberg, PhD with the State Department of Education. What it is? What can be done? Flyers will be sent home to Frenchtown families as well as to parents in the middle schools. RSVP’s are due by Oct. 28 to the individual school’s Social Worker.

No school on Tuesday, Nov. 8 for Election Day. Teachers will attend Professional Development workshops.

Photo retake day will be on Thursday, Nov. 17. Additional information will be sent home closer to retake day. All new students since photos were taken on  Oct. 7 will be photographed along with any students who were absent that day. If photos are being retaken, the original package must be returned, except for the class photo.

Frenchtown is once again enrolled in the Stop and Shop A+ program which began  Oct. 7,  and runs through March 167. Frenchtown’s ID # is 06238. You can register your card now with your 13-digit Stop & Shop card number found on the back of the card. Visit stopandshop.com/aplus and select register your card, located in the red box on the right. Follow the prompts to complete the registration. We are collecting Box Tops for Education. Please send in your box stops to earn money for Frenchtown.

We are enrolled in the ShopRite for Education program. Our school code is 49972 and we earn points towards free educational equipment. The program runs until April 26. Enroll at shopriteforeducation.com.  Local ShopRite’s that participate are in East Haven, Hamden, Milford, Orange, Stratford, Wallingford and West Haven. Frenchtown will earn bonus points if at least 75 families enroll.
